MSMU I.M.SECHENOV FIRST MOSCOW STATE MEDICAL UNIVERSITY

I.M. Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University (Sechenov University) is the top medical university in Russia. Its history begins in 1758 as the medical faculty at Imperial Moscow University.

I.M.Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University (MSMU) is one of the oldest and most prestigious medical universities in Russia. Today it is a major scientific, clinical and educational centre with a highly qualified teaching staff of more than 2000 lecturers and professors, raising a new population of medical specialists at 14 faculties, 160 departments and clinical skills training courses, 5 scientific-research institutes, 5 university clinics and 70 laboratories. The university staff includes 600 Doctors of Science, 1000 Candidates of Science, 100 Academicians and Members of the Russian MSMU Academy of Medical Sciences, 56 Honoured Doctors of Russia. MSMU has been recognized as the best medical university in Russia. In 2008, the year of its 250th anniversary, it ranked 1st among Russian medical universities and 5th among best higher professional educational institutions in the Russian Federation. Quality of education and advanced methods of training, certification and upgrading the skills of medical, stomatological and pharmaceutical specialists have made MSMU very popular among international applicants. 10 graduates of the Medical Faculty form Bulgary and China have been first international graduates. In 2011, sixty years later 237 students from 32 countries graduated from MSMU. The University has a more-than-half-a-century experience in training international students. Over 4000 specialists from quite a number of MSMU countries all over the world have graduated from MSMU since 1949. At the present moment more than 2000 international students from 73 countries, including Brazil, Malaysia, India, Ghana, China, Israel, Morocco, Tunisia, Syria, Nigeria, Cameroon and many-many others, are taking various medical undergraduate and postgraduate courses at the University. Training is conducted in Russian, English and French depending on the type of educational programme chosen. International applicants who do not have a good command of the Russian language can take a one-year Preparatory/Foundation Course or Russian-for-Foreigners Course.

RNRMU RUSSIAN NATIONAL RESEARCH MEDICAL UNIVERSITY

Pirogov Russian National Research Medical University is onе of the oldest and leading universities in Russia and is well known all over the world. In 2016 university celebrated its 110th anniversary.

Russian National Research Medical University named after N.I.Pirogov (formerly the Russian State Medical University) is one of the oldest Russian medical schools, and one of the most prominent and respectful in the country and abroad. At present the University is a very prestigious establishment, which provides the best medical education. The University was founded in 1906. Since its foundation RNRMU named after N.I. Pirogov has been a leader in developing medical science and medical education. Today, at the beginning of the third millennium, the University RNRMU is a large medical, scientific, research and educational center, noted for its extensive clinical and laboratory base and a brilliant teaching staff. This staff has a unique pedagogical experience in training students and postgraduates from all over the world and is always happy to pass on their knowledge and skills. Pirogov is recognized by many countries all over the world. RNRMU The specialization of the faculty for foreign students is general medicine. The duration of the full course of studies is 6 years. In the course of the first 3 years students are trained in English. The last 3 years presuppose partial training in English. The University offers the preparatory course for foreign students where they study Russian, Biology, Chemistry and Physics. RNRMU After graduation from the University over 1000 students are annually trained in the internship, clinical studies and take the postgraduate course in a total of 51 branches of medicine. At present over 1000 foreign citizens from more than 60 countries study at various departments of the University, including the Preparatory Course, Therapeutic (General Medicine), Pediatric, Medicobiologic, Dentists’ and other Faculties, as well as take Postgraduate Education Programmes (Clinical Internship, Clinical Residency, Postgraduate Courses). MAI MOSCOW AVIATION INSTITUTE (NATIONAL RESEARCH UNIVERSITY)

Preparing the world elite of personnel for the digital economy through advanced research at all stages of the life cycle of high-tech equipment.

The Moscow Aviation Institute (National Research University) is one of the world-leading engineering universities dedicated to aerospace technologies. It was founded in 1930 when institutions, specializing in aviation, became advanced enough to join into one engineering aircraft education centre. During the early 1930s MAI had only 290 students in two schools. Nowadays in consists of more than 2,300 professors and lecturers including 450 full-professors (DSc) and 1100 associate professors (PhD) who pass their knowledge and skills to 20,000 undergraduate and postgraduate students at 10 schools, 3 institutes and 4 branches of the university. The designers Tupolev A.N. (class “TU” aircraft), Mikoyan A.I. (class “MIG” aircraft), Jakovlev A.S. (class “JAK” aircraft) were the first Institute professors. More than 140,000 students, including 1,000 international students from 40 countries, have graduated from MAI since its foundation in 1930. MAI alumni include about 100 general and chief designers, 43 members and associate members of the Russian Academy of Science, 250 State and Government Prize laureates, and 21 cosmonauts who spent a total of 12 years in outer space. Its graduates work in design offices, plants, repair shops, scientific research institutes, universities, laboratories, aviation companies, in the Centre for Astronauts Training and other aircraft and aerospace engineering and technological institutions. mai The present-day MAI is a unique institute of higher education where a thorough theoretical knowledge combines with numerous practical skills. More than 120 laboratories, 3 student design offices, numerous computer centers, an experimental-design factory, and an aerodrome are available for its students. Moscow Aviation Institute is a large scientific research center. Five fundamental scientific discoveries for dynamic systems have been patented; the optoelectronic device “Photon” designed here is now operating in outer space; innovative power sources, invented and constructed here, are currently used in aircraft and aerospace system units. University staff and students can join in the creation or design of new engines and devices, and even new flight vehicles. Recently the new superlight small-size aircraft “Aviatica” has been designed and constructed in MAI by its staff and students. This aircraft is now in very high demand in Russia and abroad. MAI disposes of unique technical resources for scientific experiments including 126 research departments and laboratories. The real examples of aircrafts, helicopters, spacecrafts and rockets; flight simulators, unique equipment to research jet engines and hypersonic jet engines, wind tunnels, test benches to research the superconductivity, unique electric motors; test benches of radar complexes and active phased arrays; advanced systems of signal and image processing; modern computer facility, information and CALS-systems are available for students and researchers. Until the present time, the development of Russian aeronautics and astronautics has been based mostly on the activities of MAI professors and graduates. mai MAI started educating international students in 1991. At present moment approximately 1200 foreign undergraduate, post-graduate students and trainees from 38 countries, such as Algeria, Bangladesh, the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, the People’s Republic of China, the Republic of Korea, Malaysia, the Union of Myanmar, Thailand, India, Mexico, Mongolia, Peru, France, the United States of America, Turkey, Brazil, the CIS countries and others are being educated at the university. MAI has become a corporate member of several authoritative international organizations, such as SAE International, Royal Aeronautical Society, Institute of Measurement and Control and others. In October 2009, MAI was ranked among the 12 best universities of the Russian Federation. The rank of a “National research university of aeronautical and astronautical engineering” was conferred to the university by decision of the Russian Government.
